I've written before about how these games require the application of information literacy skills, but I've combined it into a similar table for my chapter and wanted to share it here as well. Seeing all these skills in one place provides more evidence about the connection between IL and video games. Granted these are only a few game franchises but it provides a short snapshot of IL skills used in different video game genres.

Its seems as though the scripting didn't come through right.
Thanks Tracy.
It displays fine in Firefox, but I'm still having problems with the formatting in IE7.
Thanks for letting me know and I hope that the format didn't get in the way of the content. Video games use many info lit skills, we just don't always think of it in those terms.
The benefit of these gameplay skills is that they are the beginnings of academic info lit that will help them be successful in education. It creates opportunities for us to try to draw those connects.
Thanks
I have 2 questions, actually.
1. Can I print copies of this Info Lit Indicators to hand out at the Oregon Libraries Association/Washington Library Association meeting? We're doing a showcase on our gaming collection at the University of Oregon.
2. What chapter is this published in? (Sorry if that's obvious to your regular readers).
